It was not as if she had been forced into the situation, and she was also aware of his earlier wife and family…a mention of all of them staying together as a family, triggering a such rage seemed too far-fetched.ģ. Her motive in helping Sultan kill Sardar is weak, at best. Durga’s role in Sardar Khan’s killing seems to have been added just to add an additional shock-and-awe factor. Why does the same Ramadhir does not kill Sardar Khan, especially since he knows Sardar Khan is Shahid Khan’s son?Ģ. When Sardar Khan goes around Wasseypur trying to undermine Ramadhir Singh’s authority and establishing his own raaj, how come Ramadhir does not try to eliminate his enemy before he becomes a major threat? We’ve already seen Ramadhir getting Shahid Khan killed when he just overheard his plans of succeeding Ramadhir. However, there were a few things which I felt did not weave into the realistic tapestry of the movie.ġ. However, I do recognize what a wonderful job she has done, and breaking into something which still is primarily a male domain makes me admire her even more. In all honesty, being more in tune with the popular genres of music, my likings are limited to Kaala re, Moora and Keh ke loonga and of course Ik bagal. Sneha Khanwalkar’s music couldn’t be more fitting.
GANGS OF WASSEYPUR REAL STORY MOVIE
Everybody is human, making all too human mistakes…and that is what makes this movie ( I find it easier to think of the two parts as a single movie ) all the more real. Here, there is no one commanding absolute respect. Yet, the singular difference here would be the lack of the “Godfather” character himself. All the faithful followers who give up their lives, betrayals from the closest aides…all bring back to mind events, and sequences from Godfather. The most obvious are, of course, the similarities between the characters of Faisal and Michael and Danish and Freddy Corleone. It is our own Indian version of the Godfather, and many parallels can be drawn between these two works. I liked Gangs of Wasseypur 2 far better than the first – more to the story, more twists, and more realistic. I watched both the Gangs of Wasseypur movies on the same day, and it ‘Definite’ly was an experience! Disclaimer: Please don’t read further if you want to avoid spoilers.
